Inviting Clients

Every client will need a project to be invited to. When they sign into their client portal, it is required for them to be viewing a project at all times. If they are invited to more than one project, they will have the ability to toggle between them.

Creating Invites

Upon setting up a project in the Projects section, you will see the option to invite a client to it. Typically for each client, you will have a single project that your client will have access to. You may invite more than one person to each project.

If you need to invite clients to an existing project, you can do so in the Clients section. From here, you can invite more people, each having access to one or more projects.

An invite link expires in 7 days, but you can resend invites to your clients at any time.

An invitation to the platform does not create a user account for your client. They still need to accept the invitation from their email and then create an account in your client portal themselves. This means you will NOT have access to their login credentials.

Accepting Invites

Your client will be able to accept the invite from their email. This will take them to your client portal to create an account. They will then provide their name, email address, and password to sign in. The email address can differ than the one the invitation was sent to.

Upon creating an account, it will become a sub-account in the platform, with your account being the parent account, and they will have access to the project(s) they were invited to.

Managing Clients

You can manage all your clients in the Clients section. From here, you can edit what projects each client has access to, along with which sections they can access from the sidebar.

Onboarding Clients

Your clients will only be able to log into your client portal, or create an account after being invited to a project. If they attempt to sign up without being invited, they will not be able to pass the project creation setup page. As of now, we do not offer automated onboarding of clients, where they can sign up and create a project on their own.
