Fields

Capture customer info, feedback, or reviews (testimonials) natively in the platform.

By default, your review page will come with several fields. These fields are inputs for the customer to fill out, the most important one being the review (feedback) input.

Field Types

You can create fields with various types of inputs. We offer the following:

  • Text - An HTML input component.

  • Paragraph - An HTML textarea component.

  • Checkbox - A box for binary input (yes or no).

  • URL - An HTML input component for a URL.

  • Image - A file input that allows for the uploading of an image.

Default Fields

The default fields are the ones that are added to your review page once it is created. These fields cannot be deleted, but you can disable them. These are the fields that capture your customer's name and contact info, along with their review or feedback. All of these fields will be shown to your customers for any rating by default.

  • First Name - The customer's first name.

  • Last Name - The customer's last name.

  • Email Address - The customer's email address.

  • Phone Number - The customer's phone number. Disabled by default.

  • Company - The customer's company name. Disabled by default.

  • Review - The customer's review or feedback.

Custom Fields

You can add more fields to your review page by clicking the Add Field button while viewing your fields, then selecting a field type and providing a name. Once created, you can edit the field to configure additional options, and you can also reorder the fields to change the order in which they appear on your page.

Conditionally Displaying Custom Fields

Custom fields have the option of being displayed only when certain ratings are selected. When editing a custom field, you'll see a Visibility section that allows you to choose which ratings the field should be displayed on. This is useful for differentiating between a "feedback" form for negative ratings, and a "review" form for positive ones.

Custom fields are the only fields that can be deleted and set to conditionally display for each rating.

Field Options

Every field has the following options available upon editing them:

  • Require Field - The field must have an input for the form to be submitted.

  • Disable Field - The field can be disabled and hidden from the form.

  • Hide Field Label - The label above the field can be hidden. Useful when combined with placeholder text to shorten the length of the form.
