# Connect

Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Cursor to one project using your MCP Server URL and sign-in.

Use this guide when you want **ChatGPT**, **Claude**, **Gemini**, or **Cursor** to work inside **one More Good Reviews project**. Each assistant connects through your **MCP Server URL** and the same **sign-in** flow you use in the product.

For what assistants can do after they connect, see [**MCP Server**](/platform/mcp-server.md) and [**Tools**](/platform/mcp-server/tools.md). For prebuilt reputation workflows, see [**Skills**](/platform/mcp-server/skills.md).

## Before You Connect

1. Open the project the assistant should use.
2. Go to **Settings → MCP Server**.
3. Copy **MCP Server URL** from the copy box. Paste the **entire** value into your assistant. Do not shorten it or swap in a generic host.
4. Keep the **Settings → MCP Server** page open until sign-in finishes. You may need to approve **Read**, **Write**, and **Delete** access depending on what you want the assistant to do.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Agencies with several client businesses:** use each project’s own **MCP Server URL** so the assistant stays scoped to the right business. Agency-wide console work uses [**Agency MCP Server**](/agencies/mcp-server.md), which is a separate connection.
{% endhint %}

## ChatGPT

You can start from the official More Good Reviews plugin, then tighten the connection to a specific project when needed.

1. Open the [More Good Reviews ChatGPT plugin](https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6a3699f00ba88191843d86aef525f03e) and enable it in your ChatGPT account.
2. When ChatGPT asks to connect More Good Reviews, complete **sign-in** and **Authorize** in the window that opens.
3. If you manage multiple projects or use a white-label host, open ChatGPT’s connector or integration settings and add or edit a custom MCP connection using the full **MCP Server URL** from **Settings → MCP Server** for the business you want.
4. In chat, try one of the **Example prompts** on your MCP Server page, or ask a simple question such as how many reviews you received in the last seven days.

{% hint style="success" %}
After the connector shows as connected, ask ChatGPT to confirm which More Good Reviews project it can see before you schedule review requests or change records.
{% endhint %}

## Claude

Claude supports a one-click directory listing and a manual connector that uses your project URL.

### From the Claude directory

1. Open [More Good Reviews in the Claude directory](https://claude.ai/directory/more-good-reviews) and install or enable the integration.
2. Complete **sign-in** and **Authorize** when Claude prompts you.
3. Start chatting, or paste an **Example prompt** from **Settings → MCP Server**.

### With a custom connector

Use this path when you need a **fixed project URL** (common for agencies) or your account uses a **white-label API host**.

1. In Claude, open **Settings** and find **Connectors**, **Integrations**, or the equivalent.
2. Choose **Add custom connector** (or similar).
3. Paste the full **MCP Server URL** from **Settings → MCP Server** and save.
4. Finish **sign-in** and **Authorize**, then pick scopes (**Read**, **Write**, **Delete**) that match how you plan to use the assistant.

Optional: add reputation **Skills** from the [skills library on GitHub](https://github.com/moregoodreviews/mgr-cursor). See [**Skills**](/platform/mcp-server/skills.md) for upload steps in Claude.

## Gemini

Gemini connects through **Connected apps** using your MCP Server URL. There is no separate More Good Reviews listing in Gemini today. You add More Good Reviews as a **custom app**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Custom connected apps in Gemini are limited by Google’s rollout (for example region, account type, and language). If you do not see **Connected apps** or **Add a custom app**, check [Google’s help for custom apps in Gemini](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/17209137) for current requirements.
{% endhint %}

1. On a computer, go to [gemini.google.com](https://gemini.google.com) and sign in with the Google account you want to use.
2. Open **Settings**, then **Connected apps**. If you do not see it, look under **Personal Intelligence** first.
3. Under **Custom apps**, click **Add a custom app** (or use the link to add your first custom app).
4. Paste the full **MCP Server URL** from **Settings → MCP Server** and continue through the on-screen steps.
5. When Gemini asks you to sign in to More Good Reviews, complete **Authorize** and choose the access levels you need.
6. In a new chat, type **@** and select your custom app when you want Gemini to use More Good Reviews for that message.

{% hint style="info" %}
Gemini may ask you to confirm **write** actions before it changes data or schedules outreach. Use that step to verify counts and filters, the same way you would in other assistants.
{% endhint %}

## Cursor

You can connect Cursor to More Good Reviews **today** by adding your **MCP Server URL** in Cursor settings. A **More Good Reviews** Cursor marketplace plugin (bundled MCP entry plus reputation skills) has been **submitted for review** and is **not listed in the marketplace yet**.

### Connect MCP in Cursor

1. Open **Settings → Tools & MCP** in Cursor.
2. Click **Add new MCP server**.
3. Choose **HTTP** or **Streamable HTTP**.
4. Paste the full **MCP Server URL** from **Settings → MCP Server** in More Good Reviews.
5. Name the entry (for example your business or client name), save, then **Sign in** and approve access.
6. To manage another business, add another MCP server with that project’s **MCP Server URL** and sign in again.

Once the connection is authorized, ask in plain language about reviews, customers, messages, and outreach. If several project connections are enabled, say which business you mean in your first message.

### Skills and slash commands (optional)

The [More Good Reviews plugin on GitHub](https://github.com/moregoodreviews/mgr-cursor) includes optional **Skills** and slash commands such as `/reputation-report`. When the marketplace listing is published, install the plugin from the Cursor marketplace. Until then, use MCP connection steps above for day-to-day work, or install the plugin locally from the GitHub repository if you want skills before the listing goes live.

{% hint style="info" %}
Reputation **Skills** use **project** MCP only. Optional **Agency MCP** (from **Agency → MCP Server** in the console) is for reseller admin, not for review feeds. Keep a project connection for each client you run skills against.
{% endhint %}

## What to Expect

* **Connected apps** on **Settings → MCP Server** lists assistants that finished sign-in. Each tile shows access level and when it connected. Use **Revoke** there to remove access without opening the assistant’s settings.
* **One URL, one project.** To switch businesses, remove the connector (or revoke it in More Good Reviews) and connect again with the other project’s **MCP Server URL**.
* **Permissions stick to what you approved.** If the assistant cannot schedule review requests or edit records, reconnect and allow **Write**. See [**Troubleshooting**](/platform/mcp-server/troubleshooting.md) if something still fails.

{% hint style="success" %}
Name the product and project in your first message ("In More Good Reviews for *Bright Dental*, …") when you run more than one MCP connection. That helps the model pick the right tools.
{% endhint %}

If connection or authorization fails, see [**Troubleshooting**](/platform/mcp-server/troubleshooting.md).
